Lonsdale Street Update - Some Parking Returns

The $20 million transformation of Lonsdale Street is well underway and VicUrban thanks traders and shoppers for their patience while these Street-changing works are undertaken.

VicUrban is pleased to announce that some parking has now returned to the western side of Lonsdale Street, between Walker and Scott streets.

Some parking between Walker and Scott streets will be maintained throughout the vast majority of 2010 works.  There may be a brief period around the middle of the year when this parking needs to be temporarily removed to allow for the completion of paving in this section.

VicUrban thanks traders for their patience and trusts the return of some parking between Walker and Scott streets will be welcomed by traders and their customers.

VicUrban will in mid January recommence works to transform Lonsdale Street into one of Melbourne’s great boulevards.
